Welcome! Here at Hidden Heart Basset Hounds, we are located in Northwestern, PA. With ample space to run and play, these are the happiest and healthiest basset pups! Each one of our puppies are well loved and specially cared for from the time they are born to the time they leave us for their forever home. Each puppy is AKC registered (limited) with full registration considered on a case-by-case basis. Parents for the puppies have been genetically tested and clear of Lafora, Primary Open Angle Glaucoma, Severe Combined Immunodeficiency Disease -X linked, and Thrombopathia. Parents are raised inside and have always been a huge part of our family. You can fill out an application below to be considered for ownership of one of our puppies!

Basset Hounds are known for their short legs, long floppy ears, wrinkly skin, and short shiny coat. They are a French hound breed. Traditionally, the basset has been used to trail rabbits, deer and foxes. They make amazing and friendly house pets.

What IsLimited Registration
When we use the term "Limited" when talking about registration for your basset hound puppy, we mean they are registered, but as a pet only. Full registration is typically granted for those who wish to show or breed their dogs. We will only consider this on a case-by-case basis.
